Planning for one of Sydney’s most sought after lifestyle suburbs

Wentworth Point was one of the first major renewal sites to be planned under the NSW Government’s Urban Activation Precinct program (now the Priority Precinct program). The 18ha Wentworth Point precinct will feature 2,300 new dwellings in a high density setting.

Complementing this will be a range of community infrastructure, including a 3.9ha peninsula park, a primary school and a marina complex. Wentworth Point included a number of innovations for the Urban Activation Precinct program, and to date, has been one of the programs most successful projects.

We provided planning services for the project, working closely with the client and a large, multi-disciplinary team to plan for this technically challenging, waterfront site. We delivered a new development control plan, local environmental plan amendments, a detailed planning report and a range of community documents that unpacked planning terms into plain English.

Together with nearby Rhodes Peninsula and Sydney Olympic Park, Wentworth Point is a highly visible development that is reshaping central western Sydney as a more diverse and sustainable place
