Madeleine is a highly experienced social strategist and engagement specialist with over 12 years of professional expertise across the private, public and for-purpose sectors.

Her work focuses on creating and measuring positive social impact and sustainability for projects that matter, including renewable energy, affordable housing, transformational infrastructure, and disaster risk reduction.

With professional experience in Australia, South Asia, and the South Pacific, Madeleine has developed a diverse skill set that includes impact strategy and assessment, social value/benefit strategy and measurement, ESG and social license to operate, community and stakeholder engagement, social procurement policy and action planning, program evaluation and theory of change, as well as strategic communications and civic participation models.

Madeleine has made significant contributions to the renewable energy sector, including:

  • Willatook Wind Farm (VIC): Social Impact Assessment for a proposed wind farm with up to 59 turbines in Moyne Shire.
  • Clarence Valley Solar Farm (NSW): Social Impact Assessment for an 85MW solar farm in the Northern Rivers region.
  • Burrendong Wind Farm (NSW): Social Impact Assessment for a proposed wind farm with up to 105 turbines near Mudgee.
  • Warracknabeal Energy Park (VIC): Social Impact Assessment for a 1,500MW wind farm with up to 220 turbines in north-western Victoria.
  • Dundonnell Wind Farm (VIC): Developed a social amenity study and engagement strategy for a successful bid in the Victorian Renewable Energy Target Auction.
  • Beryl BESS (NSW): Social and Economic Impact Assessment to support a State Significant Development for a new battery energy storage system.
  • Social Procurement Policy: Managed the development of a corporate social procurement policy and action plans for South Energy’s Victorian solar farm operations.
