Best Practice in Community & Stakeholder Engagement

In partnership with lead consultant McGregor Coxall, Ethos Urban is preparing a master plan for the Coffs Harbour Jetty Foreshore Precinct which is informed by an extensive program of best practice community and stakeholder engagement.

Coffs Harbour is one of NSW’s largest and most important regional centres, servicing a large catchment on the North Coast Region. The Coffs Harbour Jetty Foreshore is considered by locals and visitors as one of the most important public assets within the Coffs Harbour Local Government Area (LGA), with a rich cultural significance both to the local Gumbaynggirr people and in terms of European Colonial heritage.

This project aims to support a vibrant and thriving foreshore precinct that is enhanced and activated for the benefit of the community, while maintaining the cultural and existing qual

Together, with community-led ideas, the master planning process will build upon the unique character of the precinct, to create a place for all people to enjoy, now and in the future.

This includes improving the connection between the Coffs Harbour CBD and waterfront and delivering improvements to the public domain, while stimulating job growth and economic activity.

Ethos Urban has developed strong and collaborative working relationships with the client, consultant team and local stakeholders to ensure design and planning for the precinct is informed by and meets the needs of the local community.

Our extensive experience in planning and engagement, especially regional communities, has enabled the client to take a strategic and informed approach that brings stakeholders on the journey of change to align around shared goals.
