Meeting the growing future health service needs of the Hunter Valley region.

The New Maitland Hospital project represents a pivotal advancement in healthcare infrastructure for the Hunter Valley region. Ethos Urban, leveraging its extensive planning expertise, successfully navigated complex environmental challenges to prepare a State Significant Infrastructure Application for this transformative facility. The project aims to significantly expand medical services, addressing the growing health needs of the community with a wide range of specialised care options

The new hospital will offer a wider range of services with significantly more beds and treatment spaces. It will include emergency care, Chemotherapy chairs, surgical services, critical care, maternity services, paediatric care, cardiac catheterisation, inpatient beds, mental health, rehabilitation services, palliative care and outpatient clinics. It is the first investment in the Metford Triangle health precinct.

The site had significant environmental issues to overcome including contamination, biodiversity and traffic.

Services included on-going planning advice, preparation of a State Significant Infrastructure Application, Preferred Infrastructure Report and Review of Environmental Factors.
