New Maitland Hospital
Meeting the growing future health service needs of the Hunter Valley region
Ethos Urban prepared a State Significant Infrastructure Application for the construction of the New Maitland Hospital.
The new hospital will offer a wider range of services with significantly more beds and treatment spaces. It will include emergency care, Chemotherapy chairs, surgical services, critical care, maternity services, paediatric care, cardiac catheterisation, inpatient beds, mental health, rehabilitation services, palliative care and outpatient clinics. It is the first investment in the Metford Triangle health precinct.
The site had significant environmental issues to overcome including contamination, biodiversity and traffic.
Services included on-going planning advice, preparation of a State Significant Infrastructure Application, Preferred Infrastructure Report and Review of Environmental Factors.
